As a musician, composer and media producer, I've been privileged to travel to some amazing places our world has to offer. When I think I've seen (and done) it all, I find myself on yet another adventure that rivals the previous one. It has been well over a decade since I last visited South America, parading as a 'carnival partying' tourist. This time, I come as director of a project that is as important as anything I've ever done. Via Rio de Janeiro and Juina - MT, reforestation of the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil is the act I'll be taking on as a partner of TreeViver, while documenting people, places and 'all living things' I cross paths with, along the way. My dream gig.
TreeViver, LLC (located in Colorado, USA) is in the business of reforestation & fundraising for public education. Visit TreeViver.com for more information.
My friend Rodrigo ask if I wanted to join him on a weekend business trip to a place I have never been, deep in Amazonas, Brazil. Without hesitation and with camera in hand, I went on a journey I will never forget. For me, it’s not just the rainforest that excites me; it’s also the people I meet along the way. This day proved to give me valuable insight on a level of kindness I didn’t think still existed.
I hope this video montage conveys the story of my enlightiening experience.
